Notice of Beijing Human Resources and Social Security Departments on Adjusting the Relevant Treatment Standards of Urban and Rural Residents’ Old-age Security in 2023

  In order to further protect and improve people’s livelihood, and gradually improve the level of old-age security for urban and rural residents, in accordance with the provisions of the Notice on Further Improving the Determination and Normal Adjustment Mechanism of Old-age Security Benefits for Urban and Rural Residents issued by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Municipal Finance Bureau (J.R.S.J.F. [2018] No.174), combined with Beijing’s economic development, and with the approval of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, we hereby notify you of the relevant issues concerning the adjustment of the basic old-age insurance and the old-age security welfare pension standards for urban and rural residents in 2023 as follows

  One,Before December 31, 2022 (inclusive), those who enjoy the basic pension of urban and rural residents’ basic old-age insurance and the old-age security welfare pension will adjust the old-age security treatment standard for urban and rural residents from January 1, 2023.

  Specific criteria: for those under 65 years of age, 37 yuan will be increased per person per month; 42 yuan will be increased for people aged 65 and above every month.

  Second,From January 1, 2023, the basic pension standard will be adjusted to 924 yuan per person per month, and the welfare pension standard will be adjusted to 839 yuan per person per month.

  Third,For those who have received the basic old-age insurance benefits for urban and rural residents, the minimum standard of basic pension determined by the central government is not included in the family income of those who enjoy the minimum living allowance. Those who have received old-age security benefits and pensions will not be included in the family income of those who enjoy the minimum living allowance for the time being in 200 yuan per person per month.

  The funds required for this adjustment shall be borne by the municipal and district finances, 50% each.
