National Rowing Championship Hubei Lan Hardware

A few days ago, the 2024 National Rowing Championship was held in Sichuan Water Sports Management Center. A total of 40 athletes from Hubei Province participated in 8 events with 9 boats, and successfully won 5 gold medals. The total number of gold medals ranked first in this national rowing championship, and 17 athletes were selected for the new national rowing team.

This tournament is the highest-level rowing single event in China this year. According to Group A and Group B (U23), there are 28 events including single, double, four and eight.

In the men’s single sculls final of Group B (U23), john young won the first gold medal for Hubei. In the women’s four-person single paddle event in Group A, Wu Yongmei, Lin Xinyu, Ju Rui and Yang Rongrong easily won the laurels with their superb skills; In the men’s four-person single paddle event in Group A, members Li Wenlei, Zhang Lutong, Sun Lu and Zheng Yaming struggled to win the gold medal easily. In Group B (U23) women’s quadruple sculls, the players Wang Yutong, Lu Ming, Li Yimeng and Zhao Liangyu dared to fight and live up to expectations, and then won the gold medal.

At the finale of the men’s eight-person single-oar helmsman event in Group A, Hubei players Cao Chuang, Liu Hao, Li Chun, Zhang Maolin, Yang Yue, Cong Sheng, Liu Dang, Shen Yushuang and Song Jiayi cooperated tacitly and fought hard, and finally won the gold medal.

The person in charge of Hubei Aquatic Center said that the competition in this national rowing championship was fierce. Although the Hubei team achieved more than expected results, the competition was over and everything was started all over again. Next year’s National Games will be the final test of this cycle, and the time is tight and the task is heavy. Next, the water center will comprehensively analyze and summarize the shortcomings, and put it into the winter training as soon as possible, go all out, adjust the state, and constantly improve the special skills to lay a solid foundation for the National Games.
