Per capita GDP exceeded 80,000 yuan. In 2021, China’s per capita GDP reached 80,976 yuan, which reached $12,551 at the annual average exchange rate, exceeding the world’s per capita GDP level.

　　According to preliminary accounting, the gross domestic product in 2021 was 114,367 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1% over the previous year, with an average increase of 5.1% in two years. The annual per capita GDP was 80,976 yuan, an increase of 8.0% over the previous year. The gross national income was 113,351.8 billion yuan, up by 7.9% over the previous year.
