Liver belongs to wood, which is the official of a general, and forms the liver system with gallbladder, eyes, tendons and claws.
First, the physiological function of liver
The main physiological functions of the liver are: dispersing and storing blood.
1. The liver governs the drainage: the drainage refers to the dredging, and the drainage refers to the smoothness, which means that the liver can dredge the qi, and it has the movements of ascending, descending, exiting and entering, and circulates all over the body everywhere to maintain the physiological functions of the human body. The function of main drainage is embodied in the following two aspects:
(1) Emotion: The emotional activities of the human body are mainly dominated by the heart and the liver. The difference is that the heart storing the spirit refers to the occurrence of mental disorders and various emotional lesions when the mind is in charge of the mental consciousness. The function of the liver governing the discharge refers to regulating emotional activities and helping to think about problems. When this function is normal, people feel comfortable, optimistic and thoughtful. When it is abnormal, it is emotionally disordered, which is mostly manifested as qi depression and rage. Depression of liver qi can be seen as sullen, suspicious and thoughtful, sad and crying, hypochondriac breast swelling and pain, irregular menstruation. Hyperactivity of liver qi can be seen as impatience, dizziness and hypochondriac pain. Liver dysfunction and emotional abnormality are mutually causal. Liver dysfunction and emotional abnormality turn into depression or hyperactivity, and emotional failure leads to liver disease, which is dysfunction, while rage and qi stagnation both hurt the liver. Therefore, the characteristics of the liver are: being happy (feeling comfortable) and being depressed.
(2) Digestion: Digestion is the function of the spleen and stomach, and the drainage of the liver can help the spleen and stomach digest, which is manifested in two aspects: on the one hand, it helps the spleen and stomach to rise and fall. Normal qi movement changes are spleen ascending to clear, stomach descending to turbid. If the drainage of the liver is normal, the qi can be regulated smoothly, so the spleen can be cleared and the stomach can be turbid. If the liver’s drainage is abnormal, the qi will be disordered, and the stomach will drop when the liver’s qi invades the stomach, which is vomiting and belching in the upper body, and abdominal distension and pain in the middle; When liver-qi invades the spleen, the spleen loses its elevation, which is dizziness in the upper part and diarrhea in the lower part. On the other hand, it secretes and excretes bile: bile is secreted by the liver, which is yellow in color and bitter in taste and discharged into the intestine to help digestion. Normal liver drainage, normal bile secretion and excretion, normal digestion; The liver loses its function of dispersing qi, and bile secretion and excretion are abnormal. If it overflows into the stomach, it will cause yellow mouth, bitter water and epigastric pain. If it cannot be discharged into the intestine, abdominal distension will occur. In addition, the liver governs the discharge, which has a close influence on women’s menstruation.
2. The liver holds blood: it means that the liver has the function of storing and regulating blood.
(1) Storage of blood: The liver is known as the "treasury of blood". The liver looks like a warehouse, and there is a saying in Su Wen Wu Zang Gen Pian: "The blood lying in the old man belongs to the liver". Modern medical research has proved that the liver can increase blood flow by 25% when people lie still, and the whole liver system, including venous system, can store 55% of the whole body blood volume.
(2) Regulate the circulating blood volume: Only the blood of human tissues can play a normal role. When the activities of tissues and organs are strengthened, more blood supply is needed, and conversely, less blood supply is needed. At this time, liver blood can be re-divided. If there is insufficient blood stored in the liver, the leader will not be raised and he will feel dizzy; If you are not surplus, you will see less menstrual flow or amenorrhea; I can’t nourish the collaterals, and my limbs are numb.
Liver-governing and blood-storing cooperate with each other in physiology and affect each other in pathology. liver blood deficiency can cause disorder of blood-releasing, resulting in depression or irritability. Conversely, liver depression and qi stagnation can cause blood stasis (chest and hypochondrium, tingling, amenorrhea, lump) when the mood is abnormal; In great anger, the liver qi goes up against the qi, and blood can be seen bleeding with the surge of qi.
Second, self-guided massage for liver disease intervention
It consists of qigong exercises and massage. When exercising and recovering, you can do qigong first and then massage.
(A) Fitness Qigong movements
1. save your fist and glare to increase your strength
Key points of action: move your body’s center of gravity to the right, move your left foot to the left, squat down with your legs slowly and knees in a stance, and at the same time, hold your hands firmly, with your fist eyes up and look ahead. The left fist rushes forward slowly and forcefully, shoulder-high, with the fist eye facing up; Stare, depending on the direction of the left fist. Left arm pronation, left fist changing palm, tiger mouth down, visual left palm. The left arm is rotated outward, and the elbow joint is slightly bent. At the same time, the left palm is wrapped to the left, and the palm is turned up and then held, with the thumb included, and the left fist is visually observed. The elbow of the left fist is recovered to the waist, the fist eye is up, and the front is visible. The right potential action is the same as the left potential action, and the potential is left and right once, which is done three times in total.
The role of the achievement method: "the main muscle of the liver, enlighten the eyes." The expression "glaring" in this formula can stimulate the liver meridian, make the liver blood full, relieve the diarrhea of the liver qi, and strengthen the bones and muscles. Squatting with two legs and grasping the ground with ten toes, fist-saving with both hands, wrist-twisting, and finger-grasping with force step by step can stimulate the hands and feet at Shu points and Du Meridian in Yang the twelve meridians, Yin San. At the same time, the muscles and tendons of the whole body are stimulated by static stretching, and long-term exercise can make the muscles and muscles of the whole body firm and increase their strength.
2. Qinglong probe claw
Zuo Qinglong explores the claw potential: the feet are shoulder-width apart, the hands are firmly grasped, the elbows are flexed to the waist, the fist wheel is attached to Zhangmen point, and the fist center is upward; Look down front. Then the right fist changes to palm, the right arm is straight, and it abducts to the right from below, slightly lower than the shoulder, and the palm is up; Move your eyes. The right arm bends elbow and wrist, the right palm turns into a "dragon claw", the fingertips are left, and they extend horizontally to the left side of the body through the chin, and the eyes move easily; The trunk then turns to the left about 90; Look at the direction pointed by the right palm. The "right claw" changes its palm, and then the body bends forward to the left, and the palm is pressed down to the outside of the left foot; Look down. The trunk bends from left to right, and drives the right hand to draw an arc to the outside of the right knee or right foot through the left knee or left foot. The arm is rotated outward, the palm is forward, and the grip is firm; Look down with your eyes. The upper body is lifted and upright; The right fist is raised with the upper body and closed at Zhangmen point, with the heart of the fist upward; Look down front. Right Qinglong claw-probing potential: It is the same as left Qinglong claw-probing potential, but in the opposite direction.
Function of achievement method: "Two threats belong to the liver", which can alternately open and close the two threats by turning around, probing left and right paws and bending forward, so as to achieve the effects of soothing the liver, regulating qi and regulating emotions; It can improve the activity function of waist and lower limb muscles.
3. The formula of "shh"
Action points: release your hands, palm up, little finger lightly attached to your waist, and receive it back to your waist; Look down front. Keep your feet still and turn your body 90 to the left; At the same time, the right palm slowly goes out from the waist to the left, to about shoulder height, and with the word "shh" spoken; Eyes gradually open, visual right palm out direction. The right palm draws back the waist along the original road; At the same time, the body turns back to the front; Look down front. The left and right movements are the same, but in the opposite direction. So wear the palm three times left and right. This type utters the word "shh" six times.
Function of achievement method: Shuzi formula can dredge liver qi, prevent and treat liver diseases, eye diseases, chest tightness, loss of appetite, dizziness and other symptoms, and can intervene reproductive system and gynecological diseases.
4. Wind swings lotus leaves
Action points: Left-handed action: the left foot is open to the side, the two feet are parallel, the distance is about shoulder width, and the legs bend their knees and squat; The waist is turned from right to left by 45 degrees, and the hands are changed from ring grip to tiger’s mouth grip stick, the palms are down, and a flat circle is drawn to the left and front through the abdomen; Stand naturally with your legs stretched out; Hold the staff in both hands, roll the wrist and collect the staff in an arc on the left side of the abdomen; Look at the lower left front. Both legs remain the same; Turn the waist to the right, and the staff will move the lower abdomen horizontally from left to right, with the right hand leading the staff to the back of the right shoulder and the left hand holding the staff to the right rib; Then both legs bend their knees and squat; The waist turns positive, and the left and right hands are crossed to the right and left respectively, and the right arm overlaps the chest at the top and the left arm at the bottom; Look ahead. Stretch your knees with your legs and stand naturally; The left hand holding the stick draws a flat circle from the front of the waist to the left rear of the body, and reaches the extension line to the left from the rear edge of the left heel. The left hand is about waist high, and the right arm is naturally straightened and attached to the right ear. The upper body bends to the left, and the stick stands obliquely and stops at the left rear of the body. Then both hands and fingers naturally straighten, hold the staff, and pause; Look at the direction of the staff. Keep your legs still; The body is upright, the head is raised, the staff is raised upward to the top of the head in an arc shape, the wrist is straight, the fingers are upward, the arms are naturally straight, and the eyes are above; Immediately, the legs bend their knees, the staff falls to the chest, and then it is rubbed down from the breasts to the abdomen, and the palms of both hands are down; Close your left foot and right foot together, stand naturally, hold the staff in both hands and put it in front of your abdomen; Look ahead. Right-handed and left-handed movements are the same, but the left and right directions are opposite. This formula is done once for one left and one right, and it is done twice in total.
Function of achievement method: The body bends sideways, which can effectively stimulate the channels such as gallbladder meridian, pulse impulse and Ren Du meridian, help to soothe the liver and benefit the gallbladder, suppress the hyperactivity of liver yang, and promote the smooth operation of qi and blood in the whole body. According to the practice and theory of chiropractic, the left and right flexion of the spine can prevent or adjust the asymmetry and imbalance of the physiological bending of the spine, and effectively avoid the adverse changes in the shape of the spine.
5. Friction potential
Action points: straighten your legs, lift your arms horizontally from side to side, palm down, fingertips outward, cooperate with inhalation, and look ahead. Move the center of gravity to the right, buckle the left foot by 45, move the center of gravity to the left, slightly bend the left foot, straighten the right leg and tilt the palm toe, take the heel of the right foot as the fulcrum, turn the body about 90, and turn the body right at the same time. The center of gravity leans backward and leans forward to drive the two-arm cube to swing the arm, with the left arm up/forward/down to the tip of the right foot, the left fingertip forward and downward, and the left elbow slightly flexes, at the same time, the right arm is downward. Bend your right arm, put your right palm under your armpit, step back about 30 with your right foot, and move your center of gravity backward. Push the root of your right palm along the midline of your armpit, swing forward in an arc, and lift your left palm up to your armpit in an arc. At the same time, your right foot retreats into a left imaginary step, and your body turns left. With exhalation, look at the direction of your right hand. Step back with your left foot, turn your body right, push your left palm forward, lift your right palm up to your right armpit, and take four steps back. At the end of the fourth step backwards and rib rubbing, the right foot tilts up, leans forward, presses the tip of the right foot under the left palm, and lifts the right arm to the back. Get up, buckle your right foot, tilt your left foot abduction, turn left, and drive your two arms to swing three-dimensionally. Bend over, stick the right palm to the left toe, lift the left arm to the back, cooperate with exhalation, and look at the front and bottom. This formula takes four steps back on the left and four steps back on the right. The actions are the same and the directions are opposite. Do it again on the left and right. When you make the last move on the right side, buckle your left foot, keep your right heel inside, get up and turn positive, drive your arms to extend horizontally, then embrace them upward, inhale, bend your knees and press them with your palms down, which is the same height as your navel. With exhalation, look at the front and bottom.
Function of achievement method: The rubbing rib potential can enhance the flexibility of shoulder joint and lower limbs by swinging arms, climbing feet and flexing legs, and can promote the function of dispersing the liver and transporting the spleen by massaging the big acupoints on both sides and twisting the spine left and right. This type of action requires high physical coordination, which can be improved through practice.
(B) Tuina method
1. Wide-chested method: Sit, put the virtual palm of your right hand above your right breast, slap it with appropriate force and gradually move it to the other side, and go back and forth for 10 times. Then cross your palms and cling to the top and bottom of the breast, and rub them back and forth 29 times. Later, two palms are stuck under two armpits, from the upper side of the waist down to the ilium, and pushed back and forth, with heat as the degree.
2. Sparse intercostal space: Sit, with two palms under your armpits, fingers open, and the gap between fingers and ribs is the same width. First, push the right palm to the left to the sternum, then push it to the sternum with the left palm to the right, from top to bottom, alternately push it to the umbilical level, and repeat 10 times. Pay attention to the fingers should be close to the ribs, and the force should be uniform, especially if the chest ribs have a warm feeling.
3. Straighten the triple energizer: Sit or lie down, with two hands and four fingers crossed, press horizontally on the Shanzhong point, and press with two palms on the inner side of both breasts. From top to bottom, push slightly to the end of the abdomen, counting 20 times.
4. Dial Yanglingquan: when sitting, press two thumbs on Yanglingquan point (the point where human tendons meet) on both sides, and the other four fingers are assisted. Press and knead this point for 1 minute first, and then pluck the tendons at this point 3-5 times with force, so as to feel sore and numb.
5. Binocular movement: Keep your gaze straight, keep your head straight and your waist straight. First, slowly rotate your eyes clockwise for 10 times, then stare forward for a moment, and then operate counterclockwise as usual.
